Fanney Khan Director Manjrekar Talks About Unconventional Pairing Of Aishwarya And Rajkummar

Atul Manjrekar made his Bollywood debut as a director from film Fanney Khan starring Anil Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, and Rajkumar Rao. The film is based on a life of a common man who is struggling all hard to fulfil the desire of his daughter to be as a pop star.

Well, in the film, we will see Anil Kapoor’s wish to fulfil his daughter’s wish by hook or by crook and the unconventional pairing of Rajkumar Rao and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. However, the director of the film in an interview with the leading daily talks about the experience of working with the cast and said, “I had a wonderful experience working with actors who are so professional and giving. All my actors and technicians have held my hand through the entire process.”

Manjrekar also has something to say about the pairing of Aishwarya and Rajkumar, “When I was making a character sketch it was like, she is the most beautiful woman in the country, with the perfect voice and she is an amazing dancer. A God-like combination and someone that young girls look upto.”

“It was a take on the word Fankaar. Every fankar thinks he thinks he is the Fanney Khan and that he has made it in life. That was the thought and I believe that there’s a Fanney Khan in every human being and it is their dreams that sets them apart,” he told about the intriguing title of the film.

The film got appraised by many celebs after the screening as among them Abhishek Bachchan tweeted, “Just saw #FanneyKhan. What a beautiful film. A great message and worthy film. Congratulations to the entire team. Leaves a huge emotional lump in your throat. @AnilKapoor, Rajkumar, Pihu, @divyadutta25 are all so, so good. And the Mrs. continues to be my favourite! On the other hand, daughter of Anil Kapoor aka actress Sonam Kapoor has said, “#FanneyKhan has stolen my heart and I promise you will feel the same way.”
