‘Bunty aur Babli 2’, the sequel to original ‘Bunty aur Babli (2005)’ has been released today (19 November, Friday). The original film was directed by Shaad Ali and starred Rani Mukherjee alongside Abhishek Bachchan.

Whereas the movie ‘Bunty aur Babli 2’ is helmed by Varun V Sharma casting Saif Ali Khan opposite Rani Mukherjee, to which fans seems disappointed.

Fans are really excited as ‘Bunty aur Babli’ returned to theatres after almost 16 years but are disheartened by the selection of cast for the film. Our ‘Rakesh Trivedi’  who had left his small and monotonous town, Furstaganj, is back but with a new face.

Fans expressed their emotions as they miss the original conman, Abhishek Bachchan. Previously Rani and Abhishek played the role of  two small-town misfits turned to a life of fraud and become an infamous duo known as Bunty and Babli.

The magic sparked by the legendary ‘con pair’ could not be flashed by Saif Ali Khan. Although the actor has added his taste of salt but something is yet out of plate, which is definitely Abhishek.

Since the trailer launch of the new ‘Bunty aur Babli’, fans cannot avoid the absence of Abhishek as Bunty and the charisma he bought to the character so effortlessly.

Bunty occurred to him as a miracle. After performing strong-hero police roles, ‘Bunty’ came to him to add grace to his career.

From the hide and seek track,“Chup Chup Ke” to the local-trains vibes and street dancing of “Dhadak Dhadak” and the symphonic “Nach Baliye”, each song hardened our confidence that Abhishek and Rani were the perfect casting. Even the title track had a local small-town feel, perfectly introducing the two character’s dreams and aspirations. There is still not doubt that the film’s songs continue to find place in our hearts and playlists.
