Akshay Kumar may be nicknamed ‘Khiladi’ due to his past record, however, over the course of his career he’s done various comic films as well. Not only does he has a perfect timing of delivering punch lines. He’s left the audience in splits with films aplenty tickling down people in laughter.

Today, we’re counting down the best picks from Akshay’s comedy films, over the years. Here’s how the top five rank:

1) Welcome

A stellar star cast and a witty and yet interesting storyline made Welcome a commercial success. Akshay’s portrayal of his character was also impeccable and when you stalwarts such as Paresh Rawal, Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor, you’re bound to have a laugh.

2) Hera Pheri

Director Priyadarshan and Akshay have worked magic together and this film is the king of comedy films. Hera Pheri is not a movie, it’s a template of memes. Paresh Rawal, Sunil Shetty and Akshay Kumar acting and comic timing in Hera Pheri was pure gold.

3) Housefull

No rocket science here, Housefull franchise is so popular that its fourth part is due to release later this year. Headlining an ensemble cast of A-listers, Akshay bone tingling comic acting was on full-on display in Housefull.

4) Khatta Meetha

Another underrated unappreciated gem of a film, Akshay Kumar played the role of a contractor, whose life was always a comic tragedy. Despite the emotional touch, Khatta Meetha had its fair share of laughter dose that made it all the more memorable.

5) Bhool Bhulaiya

With Vidya Balan, Akshay Kumar and Shiney Ahuja in lead roles, this film by Priyadarshan a jot to watch no matter how many times you re-watch it. Especially from the point onwards when Akshay enters the film. He plays the role of psychiatrist and from the moment he enters the fray, there’s no limit of laughter. A must watch movie if you want to a laugh or two.
