FIR filed against Kangana Ranaut for allegedly using insulting slur against Sikh community

Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut is quite famous for making headline for her controversies. Recently, she got wrapped up for her comment on India’s independence. Now the actress got a FIR filed against her for allegedly using insulting language towards Sikh community in her social media post. The FIR was lodged at suburban Khar police station and it comes a day after Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee (DSGMC) submitted a complaint against her.

Amarjeet Singh Sandhu, a Mumbai-based businessman, has accused the actress of passing derogatory comments against his culture and was also part of DSGMC team who filed the complaint. Post the complaint, a DSGMC delegation met Maharashtra home minister Dilip Walse Paril and reportedly the top officials demanded strict action against her. The delegation was led by Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa, who has also wrote a letter to President Ram Nath Kovind urging him that the Padma Shri awarded to the actress must be withdrawn as she has been ‘spreading hatred and insulting freedom fighters and farmers’.

Kangana has been booked under section 295A of IPC.

She was awarded Padma Shri recently along with Karan Johar and Ekta Kapoor from the film industry. Thalaivii actress will be next seen in action movie ‘Dhaakad’.
