Major fire outbreak was seen at the famous ND Studios situated at Karjat near Mumbai, Maharashtra, on Friday afternoon. Nitin Chandrakanta Desai famous art director of the industry owns the studio, many of his artworks and movie set were placed inside. According to the reports the fire was first seen in the set of movie Jodha Akbar starring Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the lead roles.
Major part of the set is burnt and turned to ashes, the fire started at 12 noon, as the fire station got the call they rushed at the location and made efforts to control the situation. Reports said that it took almost two hours to take control over the fire. Still the cooling operations are carried and the investigation for the exact cause of the fire is going on. With the preliminary information the cause of fire is suspected to be the short circuit at the set of Jodha Akbar. No injuries and casualties are detected yet.
Even after so many years the set of Jodha Akbar was prime tourist attraction, the studio have hosted Big Boss. Films like Kick, Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo, Bajirao Mastaani and even the TV shows like Raja Shivchhatrapati (Marathi), Chittod Ki Rani Padmini, Pyaar Kii Yeh Ek Kahaani and Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat were shot at the ND Studios.
