Esha Deol and Kareena Kapoor Khan may not seem close right now but there was a time when the two were best friends. Kareena and Esha’s friendship was considered impossible and one that would not last, however initially they did give away friendship goals before things went downhill.

It is now known to many but Kareena and Esha went to the same school, and have been close pals since their yesteryears. It is rumoured that as like any other BFF, Esha came to know about Kareena and Shahid’s secret dating before anyone else took notice in the industry.

From being so close to each other to not being in talking terms, things have certainly changed a lot, but what’s even more confusing is that there is no concrete information how and why Kareena and Esha drifted apart. As per reports, it is believed that one of Kareena’s interviews about Esha hurt the latter and their friendship never recovered ever since.

In an interview with Filmfare, Kareena was questioned whether she gets time to go out with friends, to which she answered, “Not too much. But that’s okay. I’ve seen my sister slogging it out from the age of 16. I do go out but my social circle is restricted to four or five close friends like Karan Johar and Manish Malhotra. I’m very fond of Abhishek Bachchan and Akshay Kumar. I’m comfortable with them. And of course Esha Deol. She’s one of my closest friends.”

She further added, “I’m already six films old…or young, I treat her like a younger sister. I teach her the do’s and don’ts. She’s as excitable and temperamental as I am. We like and dislike the same things. We’re quite sure our friendship is envied by everyone.”

Since then their rumoured tiff was so evident that Esha didn’t even invite Kareena personally on her wedding, and Kareena too cited the reasons that she was shooting abroad while her former BFFs wedding. However, recently Taimur Ali Khan did attend Esha’s daughter Radhya’s birthday, so it’s not as bad maybe as it seems from the outside.
