Gayatri Joshi, the actress who won many hearts with just one movie, and received the best female debut of the year 2005 for her movie Swades opposite to Shah Rukh Khan which was released in the year 2004.
But the actress left the stardom and opted for something that truly changed her life. The actress on the same year in 2005 decided to tie the knot with Vikas Oberoi, who is professionally the promoter of Oberoi construction at the Grand Hyatt Hotel and is considered to be one of the richest family in India. The couple got married in a very hush-hush marriage in Las Vegas and are blessed with two sons which were born in 2006 and 2010.
Vikas in an interview with Forbes magazine said, “I had known Gayatri for a long time before we got married. We were just friends, more like acquaintances. Luckily, we kept bumping into each other and I strongly felt she was the one I wanted to spend the rest of my life with.”
According to the reports, Vikas Oberoi has a net worth of 10,000 crores, which is only enhancing the courtesy of his blooming real estate business. Well, the family is extremely media shy and does not usually share their personal life and regular routine details on social media like other businessman or celebrities.
The actress at the Femina Miss India was chosen as one of the five finalists of the 1999 Femina Miss India Contest, and also represented India at the Miss International beauty pageant in Japan during the same year. Joshi at her college time, modeled for Bombay Dyeing, Philips, Ponds, Godrej, Sunsilk, and LG, as well as the Hyundai ad with Shah Rukh Khan. After the success in 1999, the actress came as a model and shot for few Calenders in 2001.
Gayatri has been away from the film world for a long time after she got married.
