Ray Liotta, widely known for his role as mobster Henry Hill in ‘Goodfellas’, passed away on Wednesday night. He was 67. An official at the Dominican Republic’s National Forensic Science Institute, who requested anonymity, confirmed the sad demise of the Field Of Dreams actor and said that his body has been taken to the Cristo Redentor morgue. He was in the Dominican Republic for the shooting of a new movie. As per reports, the actor died in his sleep.

People all over the world have mourned the loss of the actor. Actor Alessandro Nivola, who recently worked with Ray in the film, ‘The Many Saints of Newark’, tweeted, “I feel so lucky to have squared off against this legend in one of his final roles. The scenes we did together were among the all time highlights of my acting career. He was dangerous, unpredictable, hilarious, and generous with his praise for other actors. Too soon.”
Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh also took to his Instagram account to post a story of the late actor, with a caption that read, “1954-2022. #RayLiotta,” along with a broken heart emoji.

Lorraine Bracco, who was Ray’s co star in ‘Goodfellas’, took to her Twitter handle to express her sorrow. “Utterly shattered to hear this terrible news about my Ray. I can be anywhere in the world & people will come up & tell me their favorite movie is Goodfellas, ” a part of her tweet read.
Liotta was born in 1954 at Newark, New Jersey. He studied acting at the University of Miami. The rest, of course, is history.
