Karan Wahi loves to act when he’s not hosting. He loves to play cricket when he’s not tickling the funny bone of viewers on Comedy Nights Bachao. He is also sometimes doing all this simultaneously and has crazy days.

Not many people know that Wahi represented Delhi at the under-17 level in Cricket. He then moved on to Mumbai and started his career with Star One’s series Remix (2004) and the rest, as they say, is history. The actor/model/comedian dons many hats. So here are 5 things you ought to know about the birthday boy Karan Wahi.

1) Karan Wahi was born on 9 June 1986 in a Punjabi Sikh Khatri family in Delhi. He completed his schooling from St. Mark’s Senior Secondary Public School and higher education from IILM Institute, Delhi University.

2) Wahi used to play under-19 cricket for Delhi along with cricketers like Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan. He was also spotted partying with Virat a couple of days back. He had to leave cricket back then due to an injury. However, he got to helm BCL team Delhi Dragons in 2016 and led the team to victory. His dream of playing cricket again finally came true with BCL 2.

3) He had a stupendous start to his television career with Star One’s series Remix (2004) that went on to become quite popular among the masses. He also won Indian Telly Award for GR8 Best Male Newcomer.

4) He is also fond of hosting. He has anchored several award shows including red carpet events. Wahi has hosted Nach Baliye 5, Nach Baliye 6, Nach Baliye- Sriman vs Srimati, India Idol Junior, Dance India Dance Super Moms.

5) Wahi made his Bollywood debut in 2014, with the film Daawat-e-Ishq and later turned out as a lead actor in the film Hate Story 4.
