Abhishek Bachchan shares if sequel of Bunty Aur Babli is happening or not

Abhishek Bachchan is once again in action after a hiatus of 2 years away from the Bollywood. Anurag Kashyap’s Manmarziyaan will mark the comeback of Abhishek alongside Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal. The trailer of the movie has been released and seems very promising and exciting with a new storyline of love, hate, and romance. The movie will hit the theatres on 14th September and die-hard fans of Jr Bachchan are going crazy over his comeback. Let’s see how coming weekend will treat the Bachchan, Pannu, and Kaushal who are rising stars of Bollywood and has set a niche for themselves all alone.

Recently, as Abhishek’s return is a buzz all around, he spoke about Aditya Chopra’s idea of the sequel of hit Bunty Aur Babli which starred Abhi with Rani Mukerji but Aditya dropped the idea as there was no script at that time. There were reports that the sequel was in the works but Abhishek said no one has approached him for it.

Calling Bunty Aur Babli a special film, the actor told PTI, “Soon after the release of the film in 2005, Aditya Chopra, the producer of the film, was very keen that we do a sequel but he did not have a story at that point of time.”

“Would he want to make a sequel? At that point of time, he did. If Adi finds a story that is worthy and he wants us to do it, he will let us know. As of now I can’t say anything.”

Abhishek added, “Till Adi doesn’t tell me I would not believe any of the rumours.”

The 42-year-old actor is also excited about reuniting with actor wife Aishwarya Rai after a gap of 10 years for Gulab Jamun as he said, “Gulab Jamun is a script that both Aishwarya and I agreed to do. We are looking forward to it. But we are still figuring out when to do it”.
