The comedy show featured Anand Mathur that was essayed by Ashok Saraf and his five daughters. As per a report by IANS, the show is all set to return for the third time. As per the report, the show will be titled as Hum Paanch Phir Se. The story will present a modern twist while retaining its natural elements.
Earlier the show featured the following adventures of Mathur family. It comprised of a father (Ashok Saraf), two mothers (Priya Tendulkar and Shoma Anand) and their five mad-cap daughters Meenakshi (Vandana Pathak), Radhika (Vidya Balan), Sweety (Rakhee Tandon), Kajal Bhai (Bhairavi Raichura) and Choti (Priyanka Mehra). The show was first aired in 1995-1999. Later it aired for the second time in 2005 to mid-2006.
The show who is returning for the third time will have a new cast. According to IANS, the actress Jayashree Venkataramanan has confirmed that she would be playing Kajal Bhai.
She quoted, “In today’s era we see people living a hectic and stressed life, light-hearted shows like Hum Paanch Phir Se add an entertainment quotient to their daily life. It is a pleasure and a moment of happiness to add value to people’s lives through shows. Hope the audience likes and enjoys the series.”
