Ira Kha, the daughter of Aamir Khan is one of those star kids whose public life is perhaps the most private. She does not indulge well in the limelight and prefers to keep a low profile. Despite that, enjoys a big fan following on social media. Currently, she is busy directing her first project, which is a greek play called Medea.
It might come as a surprise to many that Ira took up direction despite being the daughter of one of the most legendary and blessed actors of a generation, but she has earlier spoken about the fact how she feels more confident behind the camera.
Recently the 22-year-old in a media interaction talked up about her aspirations of one day directing her father, Aamir Khan as a lead actor in her film.
“Maybe some day, when I have a better understanding of the craft. Working with somebody you know personally can be complicated, and that’s not specifically for my dad, but applies to everyone. I want to be sure of myself before I work with my dad because he is really well-read, like everybody else in the family. So, when I’m sure about myself, I will think about directing him,” said Ira.
Speaking about the nature of her and Aamir when they are working, Ira revealed, “Once we are given some work or project, we are focused on it and forget everything else around.”
Talking about her play which will release very soon, Medea is a Greek play that dates as back as 431 BC and is actually the tale of Greek tragedy. While Ira is working on her project, Aamir is currently occupied in the shooting of his next film Laal Singh Chaddha, in Chandigarh.
The movie is an official remake of Hollywood film Forrest Gump and stars Kareena Kapoor as the lead actress alongside Aamir. It will be directed by Advait Chandan and is slated to hit theatres around Christmas 2020.
