People are eagerly waiting for their favourite actor Irrfan Khan to return back on the silver screen. He was diagnosed with NeuroEndocrine tumour in March, and since then he is London for treatment. His sudden illness brought several movie projects on hold. He was likely to star in Vishal Bhardwaj’s film opposite Deepika Padukone. The film is on hold till the time Irrfan recovers completely. It is said that the sequel of Hindi Medium is also in talks, but the team is waiting for the comeback of Irrfan.

According to the latest reports, Irrfan is looking forward to return on the silver screen. He is responding well to the treatment. It is said that Irffan has already given a nod to Shoojit Sircar’s biopic on Udham Singh.

A leading daily quoted, “He has really liked Shoojit’s script and is in regular touch with him. They are looking forward to reuniting after the successful Piku.”

Shoojit Sircar had earlier said about the film, “To relive Udham’s journey, I need a performance with finesse and depth which Irrfan is capable of. Also, he’s the only international actor we have today, and I discovered to my delight that independently he knows a lot about the history of Punjab. It’s easy working with an actor who’s interested and involved.”

He had earlier given an update about the actor’s health, saying, “Irrfan is in touch with me. I keep talking to him. He is recovering. Our prayers and wishes are with him and we hope he recovers soon and will return soon.”

He had further said, “He sings these days and records songs and sends it via WhatsApp. He sings lullabies and watches cricket.”

Irrfan feels that his life has changed completely. He said, “I’ve seen life from a completely different angle. You sit down and you see the other side and that’s fascinating. I’m engaged on a journey.”

He said, “My days are unpredictable… I don’t plan. I go for breakfast and then I don’t have a plan. I take things as they come. That has been really helping me a lot. I don’t make plans. I’m just spontaneous. And I’m loving this experience… I know because we live in a world that is packed with plans, it sounds unrealistic. How could you live your life like that? But life is so mysterious and has so much to offer, we don’t really try things. And I’m trying and I’m loving it. I’m in a really fortunate state.”
