Salman Khan, famous for his heroic roles in most of the films used to be an Assistant Director. The actor made his debut in the film ‘Biwi Ho Toh Aisi’ in the year 1989. He later got recognition in Sooraj Bharjatiya’s ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’ released in the same year. Jackie Shroff one of Salman Khan’s close friends was seen sharing screen with Salman in Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai.
Jackie Shroff in a recent interview with Economic Times walked down the memory lane and talked about Salman Khan. The actor said that Salman used to be an Assistant Director, and he always managed Jackie’s clothes and boots during the film ‘Falak’. Jackie says, “I have known him as a model and then as an assistant director, who handled my clothes and boots when I was shooting for Falak (1988). He used to look up to me and is like my little brother.”
Salman Khan and Jackie Shroff have worked together in films like Bandhan, Kyon Ki, Veer, Bharat and many more. Since Salman has a good friendship and understanding with Jackie, their bonding can also be seen off-screen. Jackie said, “When he was an AD, I used to show his photographs to the producers I was working with. Finally, KC Bokadia’s brother-in-law gave him a break in Bollywood. It was Maine Pyar Kiya that catapulted him to stardom, but I feel that I was instrumental in him getting a break in the industry. Toh aise dosti shuru hui…well, dosti itni nahi hai ki we are very close, but he keeps coming up with films, aur jab bhi kuch bada aata hai toh he thinks of me first. This time around, he came up with an action-comedy like Radhe…which is directed by Prabhudeva.”
Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai was released world wide on he 13th of May and has been harshly criticised. According to the reports it is Salman Khan’s second worst rated movie.
