The Lakme Fashion Week Summer-Resort 2019 has rolled out the red carpet on the opening show. Lakme Fashion Week gives us the best collection by some of the best veteran designers. And this time, it gave us an extravagant wedding wear collection. The elegance of showstoppers included—Tabu, Karan Johar, Lisa Haydon, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Karisma Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor, and Anil Kapoor, among many others.

The new trendy rainbow beiges, icy blues, delicate peaches and corals along with shades of cotton candy managed to give huge bridal goals at the Lakme Fashion Week summer/resort 2019. Shriya Som and Shehla Khan were also on the list of the designer.

Shriya’s collection Reverie was inspired by the islands that featured referenced foliage, florals, vines, sun and sea in pastel-toned outfits. The outfits feature angular motifs and pre-pleated textures. It has raffia in florals and fringes. The lehengas, panelled bolero with a tasselled skirt, a jacket over a tulle corset dress and appliqued sheer gowns truly embellished an iconic wedding dress. Among all, outfit donned by Lisa Haydon stole all the limelight with its glittering long-sleeve blouse.

Shehla’s collection Diana was all about Princess Diana. The collection embellished pastel hues. She opened her collection with Isabel Kaif, who sported an olive and silver lehenga. The outfits included kaftans, lehengas with draped tops and tie-up cholis were amazingly the centre of attraction.

Rohit bal continued with his Guldastah collection that showcased the bore florals that were inspired by the Valley. It enhanced threadwork, gold wire, prints and zardozi on an ivory palette.

Anushree Reddy’s bridal collection showcased pure silk, handwoven cotton, and organza across a range of pastel and jewel tones, the collection showcased a ruffle draped a sari, a sari paired with a ruffle blouse, and a lehenga with a ruffle dupatta—enhanced with intricate threadwork embroidery.

Actress, Kangana Ranaut walked the ramp for the designer in an extravagant beige lehenga. Tabu opened the show in a floral embellished gown and was followed by others and Karan Johar in the end. Showstoppers Janhvi Kapoor and Anil Kapoor enthralled the audiences with their choices of outfits. Aditi Rao Hydari donned herself for handloom in a golden lehenga choli set by Singhania.
