Janhvi Kapoor On Takht: I wouldn’t have been more happy to be directed by Karan Johar

Janhvi Kapoor became a sensational star even before her debut in Bollywood. No doubt, the girl is full of talent and her desire to learn more and more in her profession makes her even better. Her first film Dhadak alongside Ishaan Khatter, done exceptionally well at the box office with 72 crores and she won the hearts of many with her performance as Parthavi including her well-wishers in the film industry and fans.

With the ongoing success of Dhadak, Janhvi has grabbed another biggie in her kitty which Karan Johar’s next multi-starrer Takht. With the ensemble cast of Ranveer Singh, Janhvi Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, Alia Bhatt, Anil Kapoor, and Bhumi Pednekar, this film will go on the floors next year.

Earlier, overjoyed Janhvi even said that she can’t believe that she will be performing in her mentor’s Karan Johar movie as her first film was also produced by KJo.

Recently, in an interview with Mid Day, she expressed her happiness of being a part of Karan’s directorial. She said, “It’s overwhelming. I still pinch myself to believe this. I am so excited and happy to start the shoot and work on that film. But, I am constantly thinking about it, and sharing the screen space with these actors, they are so gifted. And I have looked up to them.”

The actress added, “I wouldn’t have been more happy to be directed by Karan (Johar). What excites me the most is that he has so much knowledge. To even be on the set with him is fortunate. So, I am really excited.”


It is also reported that she has been approached for next Dharma Production’s film which is based on Indian Air Force pilot Gunjan Saxena, one of India’s first female combat aviators, who was posted in Kargil during the 1999 war. According to the Mumbai Mirror, Janhvi will be seen playing the role of Gunjan.

Well, Janhvi and her loved ones must be happy and proud of their girl as she is a rising star of Bollywood.
