This outbreak has impacted every industry and our beloved Bollywood is no different. The producers are facing a severe financial crunch due to the current situation and a production budget has gone beyond expectation for maintaining safety precautions. Some stars are working on the same contracts that they signed earlier while others are ready to lend a helping hand and Shahid Kapoor is one of them.
According to the reports, to ease down the situation for the makers of Jersey, Shahid Kapoor has dropped his fee. As per the sources, Shahid had signed this movie on two conditions— the first was a fee of Rs 33 Cr, and the second was a profit share.
Shahid has reduced his fees from Rs 33 Cr to Rs 25 Cr and it is a big relief for the producers. Now, the movie can be completed smoothly without any delay.
A source close to Shahid has confirmed this update to a media channel and said— ‘The makers had mutually agreed on the same demands. In the last few months, the whole perspective of making a film and its budget has changed considerably.’
The movie starring Shahid was all set to arrive on the big screen on August 28 but due to long delay, the movie’s release has been pushed towards next year. The upcoming schedule of the movie has already started and the crew will begin the work in Dehradun.
