John Abraham hand-overs his social media accounts to NGOs to help in surge of COVID-19; urges fans to ‘Stay Indoors! Stay Safe”

India is living under appalling conditions since the second wave of COVID-19 has hit again this year. The situation is getting worse day after tomorrow with cases more than 3-lakhs per day and death count is in thousands within every 24 hours. People are coming out to help each other in providing resources like beds, oxygen, plasma and other essentials. From common man to celebrities everyone is doing their bit. After Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar, John Abraham has come out to offer help to needy people amid in surge of COVID-19.  

On Friday he took to his Instagram and informed the fans about handing over his social media account to NGOs through  a post which reads, “As a country, we are experiencing a very grim situation. With each passing minute, there are more and more people who are unable to procure oxygen, an ICU bed, a vaccine and sometimes even food. However, these trying times have also brought people together, to support, to make a difference and attend to needs.” 

“Starting today, I will be handing over my social media accounts to NGOs we have partnered with across the country and all content posted on my handles will be exclusively to help connect those affected with the resources they require. 

“Stay indoors, Stay safe! Be responsible – for yourself, your family and the country,”he further wrote. 

In caption he writes, “Anything and everything to save lives and win this battle TOGETHER.”
