Batla House will be the 2nd project where we will see John Abraham and Nikkhil Advani working together after Salaam-E-Ishq.
Some months ago, the makers of Batla House announced that John and Nikkhil will collaborate on an upcoming movie which is full of actions. The latest news is that the film has come out that it will be starting its shoot in September. The movie will be co-produced by Bhushan Kumar, Nikkhil Advani and John Abraham. The film will tell the story of one most-talked about police operations in the recent times, i.e the encounter at L-Batla House. It will be shot across Delhi, Jaipur, Lucknow, Mumbai and Nepal.
John Abraham will portray the character of ACP Sanjeev Kumar Yadav in Batla House. Talking about the film, Nikkhil had earlier told Ahmedabad Mirror, “The encounter will be seen from three perspectives—that of the police, those present near the location, many of whom believed that the bullets flying were for the TV serial Swabhimaan which was being shot in the vicinity just two days ago, and the real picture.” Nikkhil also said that John perfectly fits the bill and he will pull off his character effortlessly. “Sanjeev Kumar Yadav wanted a physically and mentally strong actor and John fits the bill. With a little light on him and a flash of those dimples, John stands out in a crowd. The biggest challenge will be to make him blend in.”
Batla House will mark the second collaboration between John Abraham and Nikkhil Advani after Salaam-E-Ishq. On the work front, John will be next seen in Satyameva Jayate which is directed by Milap Milan Zaveri and also stars Manoj Bajpayee and Aisha Sharma in pivotal roles. It is set to hit the screens on August 15, during the Independence Day weekend and will lock horns with Akshay Kumar’s Gold at the box office.
