Kaabil Director Sanjay Gupta Doesn’t Seem To Be Pleased With Indian Awards Shows

The life of Film industry and its stars seem so glamorous but is it really? As they say, all the glitter is not gold, same way what we see related to the film industry isn’t true. One such example is Award Functions. Whenever an award function telecasts, audience stick to the television to watch it considering it all true. However, even people from film fraternity doesn’t think so.

Forgetting other, we talk about leading film award shows, they are also surrounded with many blunders. From gags to ‘attendance awards’ to undeserving winners to badly choreographed stage acts, such list goes on. And when it is compared to foreign award shows, only embarrassment is the result.

Today, filmmaker Sanjay Gupta tweeted that he felt embarrassed seeing how Bollywood organised its award shows abroad. His tweet read as: I feel embarrassed just watching our award shows held abroad. Is thid how we present ourselves to the world?

The filmmaker’s tweet is seen as referring to the current IIFA 2018 that is being shown on a leading GEC. Now, it is to see how his colleagues from the film fraternity will react to the director’s tweet.

Whether the award shows organizes in India or abroad, the event organisers of such award functions have a certain template that they have to follow. Same fixed stars always anchors the show. However, Hindi film industry should raise its standard now in award ceremony field too. However, Gupta went for weight loss journey for 6 months and his look is killer as a director now. Somedays before, he shared his picture of now and then too.

About his film Kaabil, he said, “Definitely, it is but in a way, it’s also the easiest film. When you work in an organised manner and with such an amazing cast and crew, who are at the top of their game, it becomes comparatively easier. But right from its scripting stage till now, it’s been a tough one.”
