Kajol’s baby sister Tanishaa Mukerji tests positive for COVID-19

After the huge pandemic destruction there came a quite calm, and theatres opened. But the calm was short lived. Covid-19 returned with a bang, and people could not help and  became victims to the deadly virus.

Tanishaa Mukerji is the latest celebrity to be attacked by the active Covid-virus. After the theatres have opened in Maharashtra amidst the corona cases, Tanisha is the first one to be tested positive for  Covid-19.

Kajol’s sister and actress Tanishaa Mukerji took to her social media on Saturday morning to announce her health status.

Tanisha shared her news of diagnosis on her Instagram Handle.  “Hey everyone I’ve been detected COVID positive and will be isolating as required”, she wrote.


Like almost all the celebs, Tanishaa also resumed her acting work amidst the pandemic.

Earlier, during the shoot of a film in Lucknow, the actress claimed that its definitely a bad time for the industry, there is a a risk taken everytime. But you can derease the risk and protect yourself by wearing mask, sanitizing and other necessary  precautions. As they cannot always live in fear.

She further stated, “We are creative people, so in front of the camera, you are disconnecting from reality and in that imaginary world that the cinema creates for you. I am not Tanishaa then, I am the character”

Tanishaa made her Bollywood debut in 2003 with ‘Sssshhh…’ and went ahead. And she is all geared up to make a comeback with her latest film, “Code Name Abdul” helmed by Eshwar Gunturu and will be releasing on 10 December. She will be seen playing a promising RAW agent character.

Tanishaa Mukerji is the daughter of Shomu Mukherjee and veteran Bollywood actress Tanuja. She’s the younger sister of Bollywood actress Kajol and she is Bengali from her father and Marathi from her mother.
