Kalki Koechlin, who recently announced her pregnancy with partner Guy Hershberg, has revealed that her ex-husband Anurag Kashyap has offered his support to the actress.

In a recent interview with a leading tabloid, Kalki revealed that her ex-husband Anurag had told her to “call him if she needed anything.” “He’s just welcomed me to the parents’ club and told me to call if I need anything. Seeing Aaliyah (Anurag’s daughter) growing up and my own brother Oriel too, I’ve already got a glimpse into this role of a lifetime,” said the actress.

For those who don’t know, Anurag and Kalki got married to each other in 2011 but got divorced in the year 2015. Meanwhile, they had announced their separation in 2013, however, they maintain a cordial relationship since. Recently, they both worked together for the second season of Sacred Games.

Moreover, on Anurag’s 47th birthday Kalki wished him with the most intriguing birthday wish ever. In her post, she wrote, “Happy birthday AK-47. May you keep shooting wild and colourful films for very many years.”

In an earlier interview, Kalki spoke candidly about her troublesome marriage. She said, “Once I got married, I was only invited to the things that Anurag was invited to. People would say, ‘Call Anurag’s wife’. They wouldn’t say, ‘call Kalki’ or ‘call Kalki’s husband.’”

The actress had recently announced her post via a post on social media. She wrote, “Relieved I can let that bump hang free after months of stuffing it into costumes which fit me at the beginning of shoot schedules in July but were not so easy to zip up by mid September!”

After her past troubles, Kalki revealed that she will not rush into a marriage with her current partner. She added, “We have considered it for the purpose of parental rights and nationality issue. But I don’t want to rush it because of societal pressures. We will see when the time feels right. It will be a registration and a quiet family gathering.”
