Kangana Ranaut celebrates 8 years of Queen; Shakes a leg with Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni in throwback pic

Kangana Ranaut shared a post as her film Queen has completed eight years. The picture also starred Virat Kohli dancing with her.

Actor Kangana Ranaut posted a throwback picture, in which she could be seen doing a hook step from her song London Thumakda from Queen. The film clocks its eight years of release on Monday. Taking to her Instagram Stories, Kangana shared the picture which also starred cricketers Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni, all doing the similar dance step. The picture also showed cricketers Ajinkya Rahane, Ravichandran Ashwin, and Stuart Binny.

In the old photo, Kangana Ranaut is seen wearing one of the outfits identical to what she wore in Queen. The picture is from an ad film directed by filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani for Indian Premier League (IPL) Season 9 in 2016.

Sharing the picture, Kangana captioned, “On this day (7th March) in 2014 a film came called #Queen… and it changed my life forever…” She added, “I did many iconic roles after that…Datto, Manikarnika, Thalaivii but little did I know, no matter what I do I will forever be remembered as #Queen…” Kangana added the London Thumakda track as the background music.

Queen was a comedy-drama directed by Vikas Bahl and produced by Anurag Kashyap, Vikramaditya Motwane, and Madhu Mantena. The film also features Lisa Haydon and Rajkummar Rao. Queen was critically celebrated, applauded for its direction, screenplay, and Kangana’s outstanding performance.

Soon after its release Queen became a leading commercial success. It has won various awards including six at the 60th Filmfare Awards ceremony. At the 62nd National Film Awards ceremony, the film also won the Best Hindi Film and Best Actress awards.

Meanwhile, Kangana has several films in her kitty which includes the spy thriller Dhaakad. The film also stars Arjun Rampal, Divya Dutt, and Saswata Chatterjee.

The film will be directed by Razneesh Razy Ghai, the movie is set to be theatrically released on 27th May. Produced by Deepak Mukut and Sohel Maklai and co-produced by Hunar Mukut, Dhaakad, the film will be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam.
