Kangana Ranaut believes she will not be able to stay on Instagram for more than a week after being blocked by Twitter. She said that the photo-sharing site took down her post revealing her COVID-19 diagnosis and that it must have been reported by the “Covid fan club.”
Kangana took to her Instagram story scoofingly, “Instagram has deleted my post where I threatened to demolish COVID because some were hurt. Matlab terrorists and communists sympathisers suna tha twitter pe lekin (I had heard of terrorist and communist sympathisers on Twitter but) COVID fan club awesome… It’s been two days here on insta but don’t think will last here more than a week.”
Previously this month, Kangana had posted a photo of herself in a yoga pose, revealing that she was suffering from COVID-19 symptoms. Her test results later showed that she was infected with the virus and she wrote, “I have quarantined myself, I had no idea this virus is having a party in my body, now that I know I will demolish it, people please don’t give anything any power over you, if you are scared it will scare you more, come let’s destroy this Covid -19 it is nothing but a small-time flu which got too much press and now psyching few people. Har Har Mahadev.”
Kangana Ranaut’s Twitter account was suspended indefinitely last week for violating Twitter’s rules after she posted incendiary tweets about the recent West Bengal assembly elections. According to a platform spokesperson, she has broken the platform’s rules on many occasions, including the policies against “hateful conduct” and “abusive behavior.”
Kangana responded to her ban with a remark that it is just evidence of ‘white’ people’s right to ‘enslave a brown person.’ She went on to say that she has a variety of other outlets by which she could articulate herself, including films.
