Kangana Ranaut’s latest remark about calling India’s independence ‘bheekh (alms)’ has received reaction from music composer Vishal Dadlani. He uploaded a post to ‘remind’ her of freedom fighters of India “so she never dares to forget” he said. He posted a selfie wearing a tee with a portrait of Bhagat Singh on it. “Remind the lady who said our Independence was ‘bheekh,'” he commented under the photo. Shaheed Sardar Bhagat Singh, atheist, poet philosopher, Freedom Fighter, son of India, and son of a farmer, is the man on my t-shirt. At the age of 23, he dedicated his life for our freedom, for the independence of India, and he went to the gallows with a grin on his face and a song on his lips.”
“Remind her of him, of Sukhdev, of Rajguru, of Ashfaqullah, and all the other millions who refused to bow or beg……. ” He added.

“I need this T-shirt,” said music composer Salim Merchant in response to the tweet. Amit Tandon, a singer and TV actor, dubbed him a “rockstar.”
Kangana maintained her position and asked on Instagram Stories, “Which war took place in 1947?” She further stated that if someone could prove her wrong, she would return her Padma Shri and apologise.
Nawab Malik, a Maharashtra minister and leader of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), demanded that Kangana Ranaut’s Padma Shri be revoked and that she be arrested immediately.
