The 34-year-old actress Kangana Ranaut’s Twitter account has been permanently suspended after a controversial tweet about post-election result violence in West Bengal. The account was suspended due to the violation of the Twitter policy on “hateful conduct and abusive behaviour,” on Tuesday.
On Friday, Kangana took to her Instagram and shared a screenshot of a tweet on her story about oxygen hoarding and mismanagement that is happening in Delhi “India does not need more oxygen. It needs dharma fear of God. Shame on these vultures!!!” she wrote. In another post, she added, “Itne chor hain iss desh mein. Oxygen ki nahi thode imaan ki zaroorat hai insaniyat ko.” She even responded to an FIR filed against her by using Instagram stories.
Now, in a statement after her Twitter ban, Kangana said “Twitter has only proved my point they are Americans and by birth, a white person feels entitled to enslave a brown person, they want to tell you what to think, speak or do. Fortunately, I have many platforms I can use to raise my voice including my own art in the form of cinema but my heart goes out to the people of this nation who have been tortured, enslaved, and censored for thousands of years and still there is no end to the suffering.”
