Rhea Kapoor has married to her longtime boyfriend Karan Boolani on August 14. The couple ditches the big bang for their wedding, but opted for an intimate private ceremony. Now, an interesting thing about their vintage wedding attire came into light which you need to know.
Usually, the bride and groom are meant to follow ‘Red’ for their wedding attires. But, Rhea and Karan broke the ritual and go for a completely different ‘Vintage’ look. Karan’s bandgala was designed by Kunal Rawal. It was customized with the couple’s names along with their wedding date. His beige ensemble featured embroidery of contrasting colours.
On the other hand, Rhea Kapoor decked up in a gorgeous chanderi saree which she paired with a dramatic cape and a pearl veil. While speaking about her attire, her designer Anamika Khanna told TOI, “I was sure that we will not be doing a lehenga for her as she was never that lehenga type of girl. Rhea has a very strong personality and we wanted to give her something meaningful which symbolises love and timelessness. For me, my inspiration while doing this look was Rhea herself. That’s how everything fell into place.”
Filmmaker Rhea Kapoor tied her knot with Karan Boolani at her father Anil Kapoor’s Juhu residence. Her guest list includes family members and some close industry friends.
