Kartik Aaryan has recently announced his next film on social media. However, the project went into a controversy as the makers of an another film claims the story.

Actor turned Producer Harman Baweja collaborated with producer Ronnie Screwvala for the first time to announce their new film ‘Captain India’. The project has been announced on this Friday by unveiling First look poster of the film. The poster featured it’s lead actor ‘Kartik Aaryan’ donning an uniform of a Pilot. All things were going well but now, a claim over the story might ruin the chaos of the makers.

According to Producer Subhash Kale and director Sanjay Sankla, their film ‘Opertaion Yemen: The Rescue Mission’ is written on the same subject as Hansal Mehta’s next directorial ‘Captain India’. Both the films are based on Operation Raahat, an operation of the Indian Armed Forces to evacuate Indian citizens and foreign nationals from Yemen during the 2015 military intervention by Saudi Arabia and its allies during the Yemeni Crisis.

“We can’t say for sure where it leaked out from but we had been tipped off about someone planning a project along the same lines. My cousin was a pilot with Air India and he had worked on this mission. He had shared the details with me and I found it interesting enough to write out a story. Subhash Kaleji was really excited when he heard the story and came on board as a producer. We roped in Nidhi (Nidhi Singh Dharma) to write the screenplay and dialogue. The story we have is from my cousin’s point of view. From the looks of it, even the team of Captain India is taking a similar route to narrate the story of the crisis and the evacuation mission. Their poster art is also very similar to ours. We are in the process of casting while they are still writing their film,” says Sanjay Sankla.

The producer claimed that they have not only registered the title and the written material with the Indian Motion Picture Producers’ Association and the Screenwriters’ Association, respectively, but their project had been making rounds of several studio offices and talent management agencies and managers’ desks for the last few months. The Producer Subhash Kale mentioned that they won’t stop work on this project as the makers have invested a lot of time and energy on the project. They have reached out to Ronnie Screwvala but he doesn’t reverted their query yet. Also, an industry source claimed that Captain India team is working on the script since 2017.
