It is a known fact that Katrina Kaif replaced Priyanka Chopra in the upcoming film Bharat opposite Salman Khan. Ali Abbas Zafar is the director of Bharat. The filmmakers found a new actress for playing the role of Kumud in Bharat. Finally, they found Katrina Kaif who will befit this role.

As the film is scheduled to release next week, the rejection of Priyanka Chopra is still making headlines on the internet. Katrina Kaif also shared her opinion regarding the exit of Priyanka Chopra from the film.

Katrina Kaif memorizes her shooting time on the sets of Tiger Zinda Hai alongside Salman Khan. The actress said that Priyanka might have had her own reasons for not filming in Bharat movie. She just feels that she was destined to play the role in the film.

Katrina Kaif said, ‘I am unaware of who was selected before me for Bharat. Ali Abbas had spoken to me regarding the script and role of Bharat when I was shooting Tiger Zinda Hai with Salman Khan.’ The actress shared her picture on Instagram and captioned it as, ‘Ms. Kumud Raina – employment consultant #Bharat.’

Katrina then said, ‘Everyone has a different perspective of looking at things. I cannot be in every Salman Khan film. If Priyanka was chosen for this role then she had her own reasons for not doing it. Doing Bharat was written in my destiny and I am happy it came to me. When I read the script I simply loved it and I think this is the best role of mine so far.’

Katrina even said that there is nothing to do with the actresses who were chosen first or second. She said, ‘The question of being the first or second choice doesn’t seem to be relevant to me at all. It’s also not about anyone’s ego.’ During the promotions of the film, Salman Khan also opened up about the exit of Priyanka Chopra from the film. He said that it was ’embarrassing’ for him due to the exit of the actress. However, the film is slated to release on Eid this year.
