After impressing the audience with their super hit movie ‘Ek Villain’ in 2014, Siddharth Malhotra and Producer Ekta Kapoor are again joining hands for an upcoming project where Siddharth will be seen playing an edgy character.

Siddharth has reportedly signed his next with Ekta Kapoor, ‘Kargil: Sher Shah’ which will be a biopic based on the late Kargil war hero Captain Vikram Batra. He will soon start filming for the film in Kashmir. This will be the second movie of the actor with Ekta, after Ek Villain.

And, now Kiara Advani has entered on board. In the biopic, Kiara will play the love interest of Siddharath as Vikram’s girlfriend Dimple Cheema. And, the report also said, Karan Johar will co-producing the film under his esteemed banner of Dharma Productions along with Shabbir Boxwala.

A source informed, “It’s a small town love story with edgy characters. As soon as Ekta heard it she immediately reached out to Sidharth. She believes it’s a great role and a perfect film for them to come together. The film is expected to roll in a couple of months. The makers will begin the reccee soon and zero in on a leading lady.” The source further added, “The duo hopes to recreate the magic with their reunion.”

Earlier when Siddharth was asked why it took him so long to do a biopic, he replied, “A biopic needs to mean something. As an actor, I need to feel the connection. A biopic is not a fictitious story. It is based on a real person and I think one needs to handle that with a lot of sensitivity. The character that I’ll be playing next is very sensitive and his story is also quite touching. When I was approached for the film, and they spoke to me about the character, I felt it means a lot to me and I have so much respect for him.”
