Class Five Dropout, Highest Earning CEO in the FMCG, 95 YO Spice King got the Padma Bhushan

On the eve of 70th Republic Day, the 95-year-old MDH Masala CEO, Dharam Pal Gulati was conferred with the third highest civilian honour, Padma Bhushan. The famous TV ads for the MDH Masalas also earned a lot of fame. The advertisement features a Dadaji who blesses newly married couples, kisses young kids and shakes a leg on the jingle Asli Masala Sach Sach. This is one of the oldest ads on Indian television.

Presently, Dharam Pal Gulati is the owner of 2000 crore MDH (Mahashaya Di Hatti) has just been granted with Padma Bhushan for trade and industry. Chahaji who dresses in his trademark red turban and white moustache is probably the oldest star to have appeared on the Indian television. And he loves it to be in this way. Chachaji who has now got immense popularity was born on 23 March 1923 in Sialkot, now Pakistan is a class V dropout who is being reported as the highest earning CEO in the FMGG sector. Post the partition, Chachaji came back to India and initially started working as a tangewala. His family was able to gather enough resources soon to open a spice shop in Karol Bagh, Delhi.

Day by day his business went to grow up, and now Gulati has 18 factories all over India and Dubai. He visits one of the factories daily among Delhi, Gurgaon or Faridabad. He has six daughters and one son who help them to run the entire empire. In a conversation, he shared about the secret to his long life is his spartan diet regular exercise. He wakes up at 4 am in the morning which is then followed with a morning walk, yoga, and healthy breakfast. He also keeps a check on his phone and frequently checks his WhatsApp regularly.
