In the wake of reports that singer Lucky Ali had died, actor Nafisa Ali took to Twitter to dispel all doubts, stating that he is well and fine. She also confirmed that he has not tested positive for COVID-19. After false news of Lucky’s death circulated on Tuesday evening, Twitter was overwhelmed with condolence tweets.
Nafisa tweeted on Tuesday night, “Lucky is totally well and we were chatting this afternoon. He is on his farm with his family. No Covid. In good health.”

The Junoon actress told a news daily that Lucky is in his Bengaluru farmhouse. She said, “I chatted with Lucky Ali two-three times today. He is fine. He does not have Covid-19. In fact, he has antibodies. He is busy planning his music and concerts. We were talking about virtual concerts happening and all such things. He is on his farm in Bengaluru and his family is there with him. I just spoke to him, everybody is fine.”
Lucky, a 90s pop artist, made a comeback last year after a video of him performing for a group of people in an informal setting went viral. He was performing O Sanam, one of his most famous romantic songs.
Last month, in a conversation with Hindustan Times about it, he had said, “It was something that almost felt like it was going to happen, with the way the world was moving. Something like that was expected, which would change the things and world. And it just happened to be just like that.”
