R Madhavan penned a throwback incident in Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s recently launched autobiography, The Stranger in the Mirror. Scroll down to know more.
R Madhavan imagined Saif Ali Khan ‘socking’ his face after he found that he had to kiss his sister Soha Ali Khan. “The only thing I could think of was Saif (Soha’s brother, with whom I had worked before in a tense movie as rivals) socking my face. But I had to establish that I was an ideal boyfriend. This was probably her first on-screen kiss as well,” he wrote, as reported by Bollywood Hungama. The tense film he has mentioned about is ‘Rehnaa hai tere dil mein’. The film also marked the debut of Madhavan in bollywood.
In the film, Madhavan’s character have to propose Soha Ali Khan’s character and kiss her while playing out a song, Tu bin Bataye. Besides this incident, Madhavan also revealed that he was offered the role of Karan Singhania, which was later played by Tamil actor Siddharth. Madhavan played the character of the martyred pilot in the film, Rakeysh had revealed that Shah Rukh Khan was the first choice for the role.
