Bollywood hunk Sonu Sood has been providing help to the needy ever since the lockdown got announced. The Dabangg star has showcased his true Indian side and love for his nation during the hard time.

Now, the real-life hero has given 25,000 face shields to the police personnel in the state of Maharashtra. The said declaration has been made by the state Home Minister Anil Deshmukh on Thursday. Deshmukh made a special tweet to express gratitude towards the star for his gesture. He also posted an image of the two on the micro-blogging site.

The minister wrote, “I thank @SonuSood Ji for your generous contribution of giving 25,000 #FaceShields for our police personnel.”

Sonu Sood is now ready to create a book narrating his experience of assisting migrant workers get to their hometowns during the lockdown.

“The past three and half months have been a kind of a life-changing experience for me, living with the migrants for 16 to 18 hours a day and sharing their pain. When I go to see them off as they begin their journey back home, my heart is filled with joy and relief. Seeing the smiles on their faces, the tears of happiness in their eyes has been the most special experience of my life, and I pledged that I’ll keep on working to send them back to their homes until the last migrant reaches his village, to his loved ones,” Sonu told media people.

About the book that will be published by Penguin Random House India, the Happy New Year star said that he has decided to share these experiences, stories that are rooted in his soul constantly, in a book.
