Mahesh Bhatt clarifies that its technically incorrect to call it a surgery as it just an Angioplasty

On Friday morning it was reported that the filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt have undergone heart surgery. Later it was cleared by the veteran filmmaker himself that the news were technically incorrect.

It was shared by Bollywood Hungama, that Mahesh Bhatt stated, “A surgery is where they use the knife. Angioplasty is a bloodless common procedure.” Sharing more details Arth director added that the process is of half an hour and a mandatory stay is required in ICU and the patient is later discharged the next day.

Bhatt Saab was all praise for his medical team as he shared that he has been working fine since 5 in the morning. He mentioned that he was admitted to H N Reliance Hospital on January 16th, on the same day of his bloodless surgery, and later discharged on January 18th.

The filmmaker assured that it was during his regular body check-up that the doctor raised ‘red flag’ and suggested that he should go for a check up. He added that “ageing is not optional it’s inevitable” and “I am 74 and with age the ‘calcification’ of the arteries does take place.
