For the past three months, Shilpa Shetty and her businessman husband Raj Kundra have made the headlines, with Kundra being arrested for his alleged pornographic connections. He was only released on bail after two months after posting a 50,000-rupee bond. Shilpa Shetty distanced herself from the controversy during this time by claiming that she was unaware of Raj Kundra’s business dealings. When asked about Raj Kundra, Shilpa had a suitable response for the media.
Shilpa reportedly retaliated against the journalists when asked about Raj Kundra. Shilpa refused to comment on Raj Kundra’s case, saying, “Mein Raj kundra hoon? Uske jaisi lagti hoon main? Nahi Nahi main koun hoon? (Am I Raj Kundra? ,Do I resemble him? Who am I, )?” She then shared her life philosophy that “I truly feel that as a celebrity, you should never complain or explain yourself. This is my life’s philosophy, yeh meri zindagi ki philosophy rahi hai “she stated.
Shilpa had written a motivational post on social media after Raj Kundra was given bail, talking about how to persevere in the face of adversity. “We’ve all heard that suffering makes us stronger, that we learn from our difficulties,” she had written. This may be correct, but not in the way we may assume. Difficult times do not make us better; nevertheless, working through them does. Suffering might drive us to tap into resources we didn’t realise we had.
