The actress Mallika Sherawat, who is missing from the silver screen now, had ruled the Bollywood film industry and has played some most memorable characters. She once refused to shoot an item dance in her film ‘Bin Bulaye Baraati’ with actors including Om Puri, Rajpal Yadav and Gulshan Grover.

The actress, who was supposed to shoot the item number in her film, refused to do it opposite veteran actors like Om Puri, Gulshan Grover and other actors including Rajpal Yadav, Johnny Lever and Mukesh Tiwari. According to the plan of the makers, the actors were not required to dance in the item number but to watch Mallika Sherawat dance.

Mallika Sherawat did not accepted the initial plan and insisted on dancing alone on the item number.

The actors’ note, as per the Mid-Day, read as “It was shocking. We had gone for the shoot thinking we’d be filming together. The choreographer Ganesh Acharya shook hands with us but when we went to get our make-up done, he had vamoosed. The film’s director, Chandrakant Singh took over and directed the song”.

As a result, Ganesh Acharya, who was the choreographer, had to choreograph the actress on a different day. A source said to the publication that “This must be historical. The other actors were shot separately and then added together with the item number”.

Mallika Sherawat was supposed to shoot a dance sequence with Priyanka Kothari and Aftab Shivdasani. Regarding this, the source told “That was one shot Mallika agreed to do with them and that was done on a later date”.

Ganesh later confirmed about Mallika’s separate shoot but denied the rumors and told “There was no such problem. Mallika was supposed to shoot alone with the rest of the actors joining her at the end of the song”.

“Om Puri, Mukesh and I shot separately along with many other actors. I don’t know about the reason. It could be due to convenience, time constraints, cost-cutting or date problems. But it was a bit strange to shoot separately”, he added.
