Movies Collection: Commando crosses 21 Cr in 4th day, Pagalpanti and Hotel Mumbai seeks audience

Vidyut Jammwal’s third film in the Commando franchise is having a dream run at the box office. Directed by Aditya Datt, the film stars two actresses in the lead, Adah Sharma and Angira Dhar. Shaitan actor Gulshan Devaiah plays the main antagonist in the film.

After opening at Rs 4.74 crore on November 29, the film went on to make Rs 5.64 crore and Rs 7.95 crore on Saturday and Sunday, respectively. On Monday it earned Rs 3.42 crore, taking the total collection of the film to Rs 21.75 crore. Among all the films of the Commando franchise, this one is the highest grosser till now.

Film ‘Hotel Mumbai’ starring Anupam Kher, Dev Patel and Harry Potter famed Jason Isaacs seems to have faltered at the box office. The film, which was released on November 30, has managed to collected just Rs 5 crore in four days of its release.

Hotel Mumbai earned Rs 1.08 crore on its first day on Friday and Rs 1.70 crore on Saturday. It’s total collection on Sunday rose to Rs 2.03 crore and Rs 1 crore (approximately) on Monday.

Pagalpanti John Abraham, Anil Kapoor, Arshad Warsi and Pulkit Samrat’s film ‘Pagalpanti’ have put their lives to win the hearts of people in theaters. However, even on the eighth day, there has been no significant increase in the film’s performance and its earnings. It can be estimated that the film would have earned Rs 1 crore on the previous day. In this sense, the film can collect Rs 29.50 crore in eight days.

Ayushmann Khurrana-starrer Bala has been declared a super-hit and is eying a lifetime total of Rs 120 crore at the ticket window. “Though it is pretty much assured that the film would manage to go past the Rs. 115 crores, it would be interesting to see if Rs. 120 crores lifetime total is achieved as well,” according to media.

The film is staying intact in its third week despite a low count of screens. Bala which hit the theatres on November 8 raked in a total of Rs 11 crore in its third week, Rs 26 crore in second and Rs 72 crore in its first week.
