Upon the announcement that highly favorite television series Sanjivani would be getting a reboot, the news was greeted with much fanfare. Furthermore, not only the reboot makers had retained the original cast of Gurdeep Kohli and Mohnish Bahl, but they also brought aboard the pair of Surbhi Chandna and Namit Khanna to further add to the star power of the show.

However, despite all these attempts, the show Sanjivani 2 never really lived up to its initial promise and as per sources, it will soon go off air as early as December. Despite huge promotional activities and everything, the show never really struck a chord with the audiences and is now slated to be taken off just 5 months after its first episode aired.

Sanjivani 2 started in August, with a big reputation to live up to. Fans of the original Sanjivani were expecting big things and the reboot version failed to live up to the lofty standards of the original show. Sanjivani 2 is having very low TRPs and as a consequence, the show will be taken off next month.

Earlier in October, reports about the same started doing rounds on social media, however, when media approached the producer of the show, they clearly refuted such claims.

Just one month later, a source from the sets of the show was quoted saying as per a leading tabloid, “Sanjivani 2 will be going off-air in December. i.e. next month. It’s quite unfortunate that just 5 months of the show being on air, this happened.”

The makers of the show tried everything possible to stop the dwindling TRPs, even Surbhi Chandna and Namit’s romance doesn’t seem to be helping the cause, and thus the show will soon bid adieu. This comes after the original show had a spectacular run of three years and even its sequel Dill Mill Gaye was immensely popular.
