Navya Naveli Nanda, the granddaughter of Amitabh Bachchan, has shared a video on her Instagram account recreating the iconic theme song of Downton Abbey ‘The Suite’ on the piano. She expressed her love for the British historical drama series and was also a fan of Indian Idol 12.
In the video, Navya had her back against the camera and can be seen wearing a sported blue hoodie jacket while playing the theme song on the piano. She captioned the video as “10 points for guessing the song…”
The song was instantly guessed by most of her followers and also complimented her performance in the comment section. Director Zoya Akhtar wrote, “Too good (heart emoji)”. One of her fans commented, “This is amazing, Navya!” while another fan said “Amazing”. “You have played very nice music Navya mam”, read the third one.
‘The Suite’, the theme song of Downton Abbey was composed by John Lunn. The international show was released between 2010 to 2015 with six seasons. The series was also adapted into a film, with a sequel of the movie in the works. As per the reports of Deadline, the sequel will star its original cast members including Michelle Dockery, Hugh Bonneville, Maggie Smith and Imelda Staunton. It also stars Hugh Dancy, Nathalie Baye, Laura Haddock and Dominic West. Downton Abbey 2 will be released later this year.
Recently, Navya was seen encouraging Sawai Bhatt, an Indian Idol 12 contestant. She has extended her support by sharing the clips of the contestant and was disappointed when he got eliminated from the show.
