Actor, Nawazuddin Siddiqui reveals his honest thoughts on the release of his song ‘Swaggy Chudiyan’
As Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s debut song ‘Swaggy Chudiyan’ gains fame, the actor reveals his amusement. “I don’t know why! I am really no singer. And I’ve no illusions on that score. Nor do I have any aspirations to be one. But this is for my brother Shamas’ film Bole Chudiyan, and more than my brother it is the producer who was keen that I sing the number,” says the Sacred Games actor who was initially hesitant to sing the song.
“When I heard Kumar’s lyrics about the launda on the Honda, I knew this is a hit song. I didn’t want them to waste it on my voice. But since they insisted, I said, okay why not? If you notice there is more rapping than singing in the number. Sunny Inder’s composition is very easy-going. Koi khass ussmein singing skills ki zaroorat nahin hai (not many singing skills are required here),” admits Nawaz.
While the music video ‘Baarish Ki Jaaye’ made the actor nervous about dancing, this song in Bole Chudiyan has made him confident about singing. However, the actor also stated that he will not be singing more songs.
