Diwali, the festival of lights, is celebrated with great zeal and passion all over the country. People light diyas and set off firecrackers to commemorate this great occasion. However, due to contemporary environmental concerns, a segment of the population avoids lighting firecrackers in order to improve air quality.
Many celebrities in the film business are likewise opposed to the use of firecrackers and encourage their audiences to be environmentally conscious. Neha Dhupia, a Bollywood actress, is likewise opposed to firecrackers, urging people to stop burning firecrackers in a recent tweet. She went on to say that it is not only harming the environment, but also the children, in her blog post.
