Netflix India announced new shows and movies in a bunch

Netflix India recently announced many shows and movies releasing in the coming weeks. In total, they are 16, 11 shows and 5 movies, starring all the superstars from Bollywood to YouTube. Let’s have a look at the list:

1. Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl

The Janhvi Kapoor starrer movie is based on the real life story of Gunjan Saxena, the first female Indian Air Force officer to fly in Kargil in 1999. The movie has been directed by Sharan Sharma.

2. Ludo

It is a multi starrer movie, starring Abhishek Bachchan, Rajkummar Rao, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Pankaj Tripathi, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sanaya Malhotra and Pearle Maanye.

3.Torbaaz

It again is a multi starrer movie, starring Sanjay Dutt, Nargis Fakri and Rahul Dev. It revolves around a man who leaves his personal issues behind and decides to transform the lives of some refugee camp.

4. Raat Akeli Hai

Radhika Apte and Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer crime thriller movie is a debut for Honey Trehan as a director. It also stars Aditya Srivastava, Tigmanshu Dhulia, Nishant Dahiya and Shweta Tripathi.

5. Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare

Konkona Sen Sharma and Bhumi Pednekar play cousin sisters who are on a quest for freedom. It is directed by Alankrita Shrivastava and produced by Balaji Telefilms.

6. Ginny Weds Sunny

A Yami Gautam and Vikrant Massey starrer is the story of Ginny whose matchmaker mother wants her to settle down, and Sunny, who has given up on the idea of love. It has been directed by debutant Puneet Khanna and produced by Vinod Bachchan.

7. Tribhanga – Tedhi Medhi Crazy

Named after an Odissi dance pose that’s asymmetrical, this one is a dysfunctional family drama revolving around the lives of three women – Nayan, Anu and Masha. Tribhanga has been produced by Ajay Devgn.

8. Serious Men

The Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Nassar and Shweta Basu Prasad starrer is based on Manu Joseph’s novel of the same name. The film has been directed by Sudhir Mishra.

9. Kaali Kuhi

Starring Shabana Azmi, Satyadeep Mishra, Sanjeeda Sheikh and Riva Arora, it is a horror story.

10. Class of ’83

The Atul Sabharwal directorial stars Bobby Deol, Annup Sonii, Bhupendra Jadawat and Hitesh Bhojraj among others. It revolves around an upright cop who gets a punishment posting as the dean of a police academy. He has to train a group of five students, struggling with the complexities of morals and devotion towards their nation.

11. AK Vs AK

Anil Kapoor and Anurag Kashyap star in this dark comedy, directed by Vikramaditya Motwane. Anurag Kashyap plays a filmmaker who kidnaps the daughter of a movie star Anil Kapoor, and films the father’s desperate search for his child for his next movie.

12. A Suitable Boy

This BBC One’s six-part miniseries is based on Vikram Seth’s novel of the same name. Directed by Mira Nair, it stars Ishaan Khatter, Tabu, Tanya Maniktala, Rasika Dugal, Shahana Goswami and Ram Kapoor.

13. Mismatched

Based on Sandhya Menon’s book When Dimple Met Rishi, this web series stars Rohit Saraf as a guy searching for love and Prajakta Koli as a tech genius. This young adult romance has been directed by Akarsh Khurana and Nipun Dharmadhikari.

14. Bhaag Beanie Bhaag 

Swara Bhasker plays Beanie who is trying to manage her career and romance until she flees from her comfortable life to realise her dream of becoming a stand-up artiste. The dramedy also stars Ravi Patel, Dolly Singh, Varun Thakur and Girish Kulkarni.

15. Masaba Masaba

This scripted series captures the life of designer Masaba Gupta and how she straddles through the worlds of fashion, family and dating. It features her actor-mother Neena Gupta too.

16. Bombay Begum

This is a contemporary drama series featuring Pooja Bhatt, Amruta Subhash, Shahana Goswami, Plabita Borthakur and Aadhya Anand. The Alankrita Shrivastava directorial also stars Manish Choudhary, Rituraj Singh and Ivanka Das.
