The Falcon and The Winter Soldier got premiered on March 19 and made several fans upset with its cliffhanger culmination. Some Marvel Cinematic Universe buffs were traumatized after it was disclosed that a US government-sanctioned Captain America, John Walker aka Wyatt Russell, had substituted Steve Rogers.

‘Not My Cap’ has become a novel trend on the popular micro-blogging site, Twitter. But, the well-known actor Wyatt Russell, who donned the character of John Walker, shared that he has been all set for the positive as well as the negative reactions. The fans have started tweeting ‘Not My Cap’ memes showcasing their displeasure over this recent development.

In a media talk, the actor talked about possibly disheartening some fans.

He told media people, “People are probably going to dislike it, and some people are going to love it. (Movies and TV shows) are there to make people feel emotions, and I’m hoping that that’s what this show can do for people. Hopefully they don’t hate me too much,” he hoped.

He called it an honor to be shunned in the Marvel universe.

Filling up the seat of Chris Evans’ for the novel series, Russell is all praise for the ace star and his depiction as Steve Rogers. “He did have an unreal, unbelievable job. That was a really different version of Captain America, with far less problems. He was fighting Nazis and he had less internal issues to deal with because everyone thought he was perfect. That’s just so hard to play, and he did such a great job of actually bringing some conflict with the character,” he said.

He called him picture-perfect. He added that no one can don the character of Captain America like Chris Evans.
