Singer-composer Bappi Lahiri left for her heavenly abode on Wednesday morning. Bappi Lahiri was 69. Reportedly, he had multiple health issues. Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to his Twitter handle to express grief on the sudden demise of ‘Disco King’. PM wrote, “Shri Bappi Lahiri Ji’s music was all encompassing, beautifully expressing diverse emotions….Om Shanti.”

Dr. Deepak Namjoshi who treated Bappi Lahiri told PTI “Lahiri had been admitted to the hospital for a month and was discharged on Monday. But his health deteriorated on Tuesday and his family called for a doctor to visit their home. He added “Lahiri was brought to the hospital and he had multiple health issues. He died in OSA (Obstructive Sleep Apnea) shortly before midnight.
Meanwhile, many Bollywood celebrities are mourning the loss of ‘Disco King’ on their social media platforms. Also, his fans and well-wishers gathered outside his Mumbai residence to catch a last glimpse of Lahiri.
