Religion is the new trend to slam the popular people. No matter how decent, commendable and endearing the gesture is, it becomes indigestible for the bigots and haters. There have been recent instances of celebrities or famous personalities being attacked for putting up ‘anti-Islamic’ pictures online.
While vacationing with her beau Daniel, Sunny Leone got trolled by the netizens for wearing a bikini during ‘Navratris’. The actress was captured flaunting her drop-dead curves on the beach. But the mindless trolls got in her way of amusing trip to Mexico.
The most loved ‘bahu’ of Indian television, Hina Khan, was told to respect the holy month of Ramzan. She was also advised to be fully-clothed. As the actress was seen in ‘disrespectful clothes’ during Ramzan that gave the trollers a chance to attack. She was also called-out for sharing an inappropriate video of dancing and flying kisses to the cameras.
The most recent case was of Farhan Akhtar when he shared his happiness while performing Laxmi puja with her girlfriend, Shibani Dandekar along with a ’tilak’ on his forehead, during the Diwali festivities. And preachers of religion shared their thoughts by trolling him mercilessly. After which the family decided to take a legal action.
Dangal fame actress, Sana Fatima, was uselessly trolled by the bigots for posting pictures in black swimsuit at beach during the holy Ramzan. The actress was in Malta, shooting for her film, ‘Thugs of Hindostan’. But the trollers went up for spreading the hatred by questioning her identity and declaring she cannot be a Muslim.
Recently, the trolls attacked Bollywood’s ‘Kedarnath fame girl’, Sara Ali Khan, for paying a visit to Kedarnath temple. The actress posted a beautiful picture with Jahnvi Kapoor on her Instagram handle, during a trip to Kedarnath. As soon as the picture was uploaded, she was brutally attacked by hatred-filled comments.
Actress Soha Ali Khan was racked for appearing on a Ganpati pandal during the occasion of ‘Ganesh Chaturthi’ and became a subject to controversy for being ‘disloyal’ to her religion! Earlier, she was also targeted for visiting the Golden Temple in Amritsar!. Responding to which she clearly said “Respect each others choices”.
Saif Ali Khan along with his family including wife Kareena Kapoor, and kids Jeh, Taimur and Sara, got trolled for celebrating a festival meant for Hindus. The pictures along with the caption were seen worshipping Ganesh Ji with folded hands, while Kareena Kapoor Khan was instructing the child on the proper way of worshipping. This photo was more than enough to send the Islamists and left-radicals in frenzy. After which trolls followed.
Sussanne Khan was also trolled for celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi. She was trolled brutally for celebrating a Hindu festival despite being a Muslim and second for celebrating it with ex-husband, Hrithik Roshan at his home.
Huma Qureshi has also been targeted by the netizens. She once shared a picture of hers chilling with a liquor, that was supposed to be sponsored. In no time, the ‘moral police brigade’ advised the actress that drinking alcohol, being a Muslim. did not reflect well and how she committed a sin.
Irfan Pathan took to Facebook for sharing a Rakshabandhan moment with rakhi tied around his wrist, and the cricketer fell prey to the online trolls. And things refused to look any better.
Mandana Karimi, an Iranian actress, and former contestant of Bigg Boss also shared a picture of hers in a bikini showing-off her sizzling figure, but the post grabbed the attentions of bigots on social media. She was ruthlessly trolled for hurting religious sentiments during ‘Ramzan’.
Actor-Politician Nusrat Jahan was brutally trolled for sharing her celebration of ashtami, a nine-day long festival, called Navratri. Netizens called her Anti-Muslim. The trollers went crazy over slamming her. The cool-headed personality responded to the hatred very calmly and clearly.
