Actor Akshay Kumar’s mother Smt Aruna Bhatia passed away a few days back. The actor was pretty heartbroken after her demise. Evidently, he was quite attached to his mother. The whole nation went on to pay their respects to the deceased on social media. Prime Minister Narendra Modi did his bit too, by sending the actor a letter where he has expressed his condolences on his mother’s recent demise and also acknowledged the actor’s journey to stardom.
The actor was very touched by this gesture. He took to his Instagram account to post a picture of the letter and also wrote a gratitude filled caption, which read, ‘Humbled by condolence messages on mom’s passing, thankful to all🙏🏻Grateful to hon’ble PM for this amazing gesture to take out time and express warm feelings for me and my late parents. These comforting words will stay with me forever. Jai Ambe’.
When asked by a leading daily as to how he felt when the PM sent him such a letter. the Bell Bottom actor said that he was really overwhelmed by this warm gesture and did not see this coming.
Kumar has resumed shooting for ‘Cindrella’, a remake of the Tamil crime thriller, ‘Ratsasan’ in London.
