PM Narendra Modi inaugurates the most facilitated public healthcare center in Ahemdabad

Narendra Modi is at his home state. The Prime Minister of the nation is on a three-day visit to Gujarat where he will inaugurate the ‘Vibrant Gujarat Global Trade Show’ in Gandhinagar which is considered to be an important part of the summit.

The respected Prime Minister has made the state to achieve a major achievement in the field of medical care. On 17th of January, he inaugurated the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Institute of Medical Sciences and Research at Ahmedabad. The big institute has been made with an expense of 582 crores and constructed in previous few years. Modi wanted this Public healthcare center to offer the equal kind of services as the other top private medical center provides the facilities.

“The Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Institute of Medical Sciences and Research is an excellent public hospital, which will strengthen the efforts to provide quality healthcare to the poor. Am glad to have inaugurated the hospital and seen parts of it.”

It is the state government who gave the financial support in the making of this health and research center. Named as AMC( Amdavad Municipal corporation) is running this project, with a total area of 1.49 lakh sq. feet, this 17-storey high building has 1200 beds, with a capacity of curing 1500 cases at a time. The country’s first highly equipped health care will have a digital token system with 32 operation theatres.


Apart from that, it includes 1400 km wiring, 6000 computer points and 600 CCTV’s installed in the center.

After inaugurating the Sardar Patel medical health care, Modi shared the video of his speech on his official twitter handle which is going viral on the web.

A day before the inauguration of the health care center, he wrote, “This is a state-of-the-art public hospital will provide top quality healthcare to the people of Gujarat.”
