“privacy was secondary,” Deepika Padukone on ‘no-phone’ rule on her wedding

Bajirao Mastaani famed Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh tied knots on 14 th November 2018, the wedding took place at Lake Como in presence of family and close friends. The star couple came up with a very interesting idea where no guests were allowed to carry their phones at the wedding, the rule was made to guests enjoy the wedding to the fullest and should always remember it, Deepika and Ranveer wanted the guests to be in the moment rather capturing them.

While talking to Filmfare Deepika said “Privacy was secondary. The reason we asked our guests not to have cell phones was because we wanted them to be present in the moment. Usually, everyone is on their cell phones, capturing the moment.”

Further talking about the guests she said “These moments should be in your mind and heart as they’re never going to come back. Every single guest, I kid you not, is so thankful. People who’ve never danced in their lives were on the dance floor. People who’ve never tasted alcohol were tasting wine. That’s how free people were”

Deepika explained how happy people were being there at the moment enjoying each other’s company, talking to each other, sharing thoughts, laughter, the venue was full of emotions, “Since we were a small group of just uncles, aunties, cousins and friends we could ask them to leave their phones behind. Everyone who has meant something to us in our life was there. They understood where we were coming from.”

On work front Deepika have lined up with bunch of movies, she will be seen in Pathan, Fighter, Mahabharata, The Intern and ’83’ where she would be seen with Ranveer on screen after a long break. The actor also have some untitled movies with Shakun Batra and Nag Ashwin.
