This week began with a bang as a major space milestone was achieved by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) in the form of Chandrayaan 2. The Chandrayaan 2 was successfully launched by ISRO into space and has started its journey to the moon and even Bollywood celebs celebrated.
Amidst this, Priyanka Chopra Jonas has been off social media for some time, and hence, celebrated the historic moment yesterday after she made a comeback on Instagram. The global star got to know about the female scientists behind Chandrayaan 2 and applauded their work.
Priyanka took to her Instagram story to share a post by ISRO and congratulated them on their effort. PeeCee also was proud of the effort put in by the two female scientists, M Vanitha and Ritu Karidhal.
Priyanka also celebrated the woman power and mentioned that present times are all about females and that, she is inspired by the women scientists who helped in the successful launch of ISRO’s Chandrayaan 2. The star had been away from social media for a while due to her birthday celebrations and also thanked her fans late.

Priyanka wrote, “The present is female & it’s written all over the moon!! So Inspired by the women behind Chandrayaan 2.” Elsewhere, the actress has been slammed by fans after a viral picture of Priyanka smoking cigarettes emerged on the internet. She has so far, refused to comment on the situation.

Meanwhile, Priyanka is gearing up for the release of her upcoming film with Shonali Bose, The Sky Is Pink. The film has been selected as an official entry for Toronto International Film Festival 2019. The film stars Priyanka, Farhan Akshar, Zaira Wasim and Rohit Saraf. It is based on the life of the motivational speaker, Aisha Chaudhary who was diagnosed with Pulmonary Fibrosis. The film is slated to release on October 11, 2019.
